What is our most popular window fashion? Shades, definitely! There are so many different types of soft shades, and customers often wonder about which ones are best. Let’s take a look at a few of the basic types of soft window shades.
Check out this video for more information about soft shades from Hunter Douglas:
Roman Shades
With a large smooth fold, roman shades have been a mainstay in window fashions for decades. Custom, quality craftsmanship includes an innovative cording system for enhanced child safety, clear rings that coordinate with all linings and sheers, stiff battens to provide structure, sewn tunnels that keep battens from slipping out.
Pleated Shades
With a pleated shade, the fabric is folded into pleats that are held together with a string that operates the shade up and down. People love pleated shades for the large variety of colors and fabrics. Pleated shades are perfect if you want privacy in a room without it feeling dark and unpleasant.
Honeycomb Shades
As their name suggests, honeycomb shades have pleats that look like honeycombs. These shades come in a variety of opacities for light and privacy control. Honeycomb shades are also very energy efficienty. With one honeycomb inside of another, the Duette Architella Honeycomb Shade is the most energy efficient shade on the market.
Roller Shades
Traditional roller shades roll up neatly and compactly when opened. When lowered, Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades offer unique design options you won’t find anywhere else. With Traditional, Natural and Soft styles, our unique line of roller shades bring a refreshing and sophisticated look to your home.
